Road paving planned on Enterprise Way

Enterprise Way is tentatively scheduled for resurfacing by the City of Huntsville Department of Public Works.  Resurfacing may result in street closings at various times during the project.  Caution is advised.  Also, please note that weather may cause delays in the schedule and that a temperature threshold must be met for resurfacing to occur.

The work will take place from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm on Enterprise Way between Explorer Blvd. and Highway 72.

Background

HSP is proud to present the Solar Optics Space Café, an informal social gathering for people interested in learning more about our local star and why daytime astronomers are looking toward building the world’s largest solar telescope. The 15-minute presentation will give our members the opportunity to socialize and interact with the solar physicists planning to attend.

While nighttime astronomers have enjoyed a boom in ultra-large telescopes for the past two decades, solar observers seem to be playing catch-up.
