On Tuesday, May 10, collection bins will be set-up throughout the Centre, inside participating stores and at the kick-off for the Concert in the Courtyard series, to raise much needed funds to benefit the disaster relief efforts. Bridge Street Town Centre together with The Westin Huntsville will match all monies collected up to $10,000.  Collection bins will be set up during the Concerts in the Courtyard every Tuesday night through May 31st.

'I won't let go' tribute to tornado victims

WAFF 48 Photojournalist Joe Rogers put together this package from the coverage of the April 27, 2011 tornado outbreak. After the disaster, the community came together and we saw neighbors helping neighbors. The images that reporters, photographers, emergency workers and volunteers sent back to the newsroom were moving and prompted thousands of people across the Tennessee Valley to volunteer their time or donate money.

Thank you to everyone who pledged time during the WAFF Vonlunteer-a-Thon. Viewers pledged nearly 100,000 hours of service for relief efforts and people continue to sign up. This time has been difficult for everyone, but to see how people are coming together is amazing.
