HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- Court records show new charges against a guard with Pinnacle Schools.
Julian Boykin now faces four criminal charges in connection to allegations associated with the private alternative school. Court records show Boykin is charged with three counts of assault and one count of torture/willful abuse of a child.
Some family members of the alleged victims have provided pictures of injuries.
Huntsville City Schools pays The Pinnacle Schools more than $1.5-million to take some of the district's most trouble students.
Several of the victims' families said all four students were in the same room at the school when the assault and abuse started.
According to multiple police reports, this all stems from an October incident at Pinnacle Schools.
The victims allege Boykin pulled them out of their classrooms and forced them to do exercises and planking.
The victims said when several of them were unable to do the exercises Boykin struck them on their sides.
Boykin was placed on paid administrative leave when these allegations surfaced a few months ago.
Pinnacle Schools released the following statement following Boykin's first arrest: "The Pinnacle Schools has thoroughly investigated this matter. We interviewed all witnesses that have been made available to us and we strongly believe Mr. Boykin is innocent of the charges made against him."
Boykin has a court appearance scheduled for January 9, 2013.
